About us:


We are an established engineering subcontract machining and design company involved in the manufacture of precision machined components for various industrial sectors.

Due to increasing workloads, we are looking for someone to join our team to provide hands on operational support for the Production Manager.

This role will suit someone who can combine a largely office-based role with engineering/workshop support.

The role will be varied, and it is critical that the tasks are carried out efficiently and to a high level of data accuracy due to the variability of our customers' requirements.


Key responsibilities of the role

  • Assisting the Production Manager daily with engineering production output/scheduling.
  • Entering customers' orders onto the order entry system, creating delivery notes, invoices and other supporting paperwork.
  • Purchasing obtaining quotes, placing & expediting orders.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Dealing with customer queries in conjunction with the Production Manager.
  • Managing stock, raw materials, quarantining goods, goods in/out, utilities, waste collections, vehicle management & health and safety support.
  • Working with all parts of the business to ensure orders are processed correctly and ontime.
  • Collating supporting paperwork, i.e. drawings, purchase orders and certification.
  • Creating weekly customer production schedules.
  • Other ad hoc tasks to support the business.
  • Carrying out minor workshop tasks.
  • Occasional delivery of finished goods to customers current UK driving licence essential.
  • We are looking for someone with an engineering background. You will need to have a flexible approach, be comfortable in an office environment and be willing to support the management team and colleagues with a variety of workshop duties. You would need to be methodical, have great attention to detail, high standard of written and numerical skills, resourceful and organised.
