Job Description:

37.5 Hours per week. Monday to Friday.

08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00.

Purpose of the Post:

Support the Finance department with all administration duties.

Main Duties:

  • Administer and track the reconciliation of internal and external invoices received on a daily basis.
  • Generate and communication of client invoices ensuring that invoice values are in agreement with client contract.
  • Where required assist in the recovery of outstanding debts and maintaining a log of outstanding debts.
  • Maintain the Purchase Order systems for the Manchester Facility.
  • Purchasing and creating orders for office supplies, Laboratory equipment, exhibitions, IT Equipment.
  • To perform credit checks on potential customers and feedback to the Managing Director.
  • Assist in the creation of new clients on the system.
  • To type or input results and create test reports templates.
  • Create and generate sales parts and quotes.
  • Raise Proforma invoices for the wider team.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Computer literate, knowledge of telephone system with good telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good customer care skills
  • Typing Skills
  • Numeracy Skills
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Maths and English at GCSE C or above or equivalent

Desirable

  • Experience of working in laboratory accredited to ISO1702
  • Experience of eurodat and eLIMS systems
  • Language Skills (French/ German)
  • Accountancy Skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks
  • First Aid Qualification
  • Science or Business Degree
