Student Support Administrator

Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time
We are looking for a well-organised administrator who is committed to high levels of service.

You should have experience in student administration—ideally within higher education, and preferably some background in managing student financial support, and/or arranging support for students with disabilities.

Some experience in promoting widening participation and access within the sector could also be advantageous.

Within our busy Student Administration team, you will work on three areas.

Principally, these are to assist students who are seeking financial support, and to co-ordinate arrangements for students with disabilities (as our Departmental Disability Coordinator).

You may also contribute to widening participation and access projects from time to time.

You will mainly engage with prospective and current students, and our academic and professional services teams (both within OUDCE and the collegiate University), and you may occasionally deal with external organisations (such as funding bodies).

You will be expected to develop a detailed knowledge of policies and procedures relating to disability support and student funding, and will manage processes from beginning to end, ensuring timely responses and maintaining GDPR-compliant records.

You will also help to develop processes in these areas, and will provide or arrange staff training, and maintain the Department's web-based information for staff and for students.

The appointment is permanent, and entails a 37.5 hour working week and 38 days' annual holiday including Bank Holidays and Christmas closure.

A pension scheme is available.

The Department is committed to developing colleagues both personally and professionally.

Interviews will be held on

Monday 21st August 2023.
