Due to recent growth, we are searching for a skilled Artisan Bread Baker to become part of our team.

We are an expanding business with exciting visions, where you will collaborate with a small team to produce top-quality artisan breads and pastries.


Key competencies required for the role:

  • Assist in the preparation of all ingredients for baking
  • Follow prescribed recipes to prepare ingredients and bake products
  • Ensure thorough mixing, shaping, and baking of all goods according to recipes
  • Proficient in dough mixing, hand weighing, molding, and shaping various bread and rolls
  • Familiarity with sourdough baking
  • Accurate measurement and weighing of ingredients
  • Operation of mixers, as well as preparation of ovens and equipment
  • Adherence to procedures for dough resting, rising, kneading, and shaping
  • Packaging and presenting baked goods for retail displays
  • Capability to operate different mixer types and a deck oven
  • Thorough understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Effective management of stock levels, including support for regular stock rotation and inspections
  • Maintain highest standards of cleanliness for the premises, equipment, and facilities
  • Keeping records, adhering to cleaning schedules, and setting timers
  • Innovation in crafting new and enticing baked products

Requirements:
Experience in artisan bread production
At least two years of bakery production experience
Strong independent and team working skills
Organized and capable of multitasking with exceptional focus on details
A love for artisan baking, including bread, pastries, and cakes
High standards of personal hygiene and appearance
Exceptional communication and time management abilities

Hours:
Full-time role with a fixed shift pattern of 40-48 hours per week.
Immediate start opportunity

Salary:
Negotiable based on experience.
