Job Title: Cardiology Nurse at MFT Wythenshawe Hospital
Are you a passionate nurse interested in heart rhythm management? We have a great opportunity for you to join the Nurse Heart Rhythm Service at MFT, Wythenshawe Hospital. This is a cross-site working post within MFT, with your main base at Wythenshawe.
Main Duties:
- Demonstrate high-level communication skills with patients/relatives
- Provide specialized knowledge on advanced cardiac devices
- Effectively communicate with the multi-disciplinary team
- Deal with emotions related to patients with cardiac rhythm abnormalities
- Plan and deliver cardioversion lists and teaching sessions on CRM
- Organize Ajmaline Challenge tests

Qualifications/Education
Essential
- Registered general nurse. Teaching qualification.
Desirable
- Recognized cardiac device management course. Health-related degree.
Experience
Essential
- Relevant experience in cardiology with a broad knowledge of cardiac rhythm management.
Desirable
- Experience in outpatient clinics. Knowledge of high technology monitoring.
Skills
Essential
- Demonstrate organizational, motivational, and time management skills.
- Assess patients' psychological and physical needs.
- Competency in venous cannulation.
- Create a calm environment for patients with high levels of listening skills.
Knowledge
Essential
- Willingness to undertake Advanced life support and Non-medical prescribing qualification.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ongoing research in cardiac rhythm management.
Desirable
- Develop skills and knowledge in cardiac rhythm management.
