What you'll be doing:

  • Provide the Operations team with a seamless supply of the required tooling and materials in support of the build programme.
  • Prime Logistics interface at planning / forecasting / delivery meetings (both internal and customer).
  • Ensure provision of all Logistics reporting in line with both internal and customer requirements.
  • Material management; maintain minimum stock levels and manage materials in line with Quality and orderbook requirements at all times in order to protect the build programme.
  • Lead interactions with Procurement, ensuring availability of sufficient material stock levels at all times.
  • Lead interactions with Wincanton, protecting the build programme in ensuring delivery of tools and materials in line with SLA's / contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a robust tool management system, minimising the quantities of tooling within the facility.
  • Maintain the 510 order book and manage the factory system as per governance requirements.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in Managing/Leading a team
  • Working experience of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Infor LN/SAP or similar)
  • An ability to engage, motivate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. This includes taking pride in your work and lead the tasks that are assigned to your team to see them through to completion, with an analytical approach. This will showcase confidence and the capability to work independently and lead team problem solving for the development of short
- and long-term solutions regarding day to day problems

  • Proficient in the use of IT, especially the MS Office suite (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel)

Desirable:

  • An understanding of Production Control & Logistics concepts, systems and relevant business processes. This includes experience in a manufacturing/procurement/supply chain environment
  • Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards it e.g. APICS CPIM, CILT

The Logistics team:

Established in February 2021, 510 building is the prime focus for all Carbon Fibre Detailed Manufacturing within COO.


As the business prepares for Tempest manufacture, there is a requirement for a Logistics Team Leader to join the existing team, further bolstering the Logistics support in ensuring a smooth daily operation and seamless transition into manufacturing dual product.


Whilst leading a small team, the individual shall assume responsibility for the full through life logistics solution within the business.
