Responsibilities:

  • Toreceive reactive and ppms task from elog books
  • To ascertain the materials required and torequest these from the relevant appointed Site supervisor.
  • To discuss and make arrangements with therelevant appointed staff for carrying out the task.
  • To ascertain the exact specifications for thetask possibly by discussion with the Site supervisor from workingdrawings or plans.
  • To refer any arising issuesto your supervisor and to report on completion of each task.
  • To undertake urgent Building servicesmaintenance and repair tasks as they arise.
  • Toassist with the training and supervision of less experienced staffwhen required.
  • To use all equipment andmaterials in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • To ensure that client and company tools andequipment are kept in good order and report any faulty tools orequipment to the Site Manager.
  • General day today running of the site.
  • 1 day every 3 weeks atEast midlands trainingcentre.
Desirable

NVQlevel qualification in plumbing or electrical would be desirablebut not essential.

PASMA and IPAF training wouldbe desirable but training can begiven.

Experience

The jobholder will be required to have experience within buildingmaintenance and construction working practices and proceduresespecially matters concerning Health &Safety.

InterpersonalSkills

When dealing with client personnel and atall levels the job holder must use tact and diplomacy in order toget cooperation from client personnel and when dealing withvisitors.

  • The job holder isresponsible for the care of tools plant and machinery whilst intheir use whether the property belongs to the client or Pareto.
  • Confidentiality isrequired on all matters that are attaining to Pareto and theclient.
  • The quality of thepost holders work can have an indirect effect on animal care e.g.quality of work within animal enclosures.
