An exciting Band 6 nursing opportunity has arisen in Altrincham Outpatient Department which offers an extensive range of outpatient services to patients throughout the Greater Manchester area and beyond. Energy, enthusiasm and drive is required to work in this service, which holds clinicscovering cardiology, chemical pathology, diabetics, endocrinology, elderly medicine, ENT, general medicine, general surgery, haematology, orthopaedics, plastics, respiratory, rheumatology to name but a few. We haveinteraction from a wide multidisciplinary team including specialist nurses and advanced practitioners, so the opportunities to develop your skills are endless.

Main duties of the job

To succeed, you'll need to be committed in delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development.

Applicants must possess a proven clinical and managerial career history at Band 5 or 6 and demonstrate a commitment to effective leadership. An experience in an outpatient environment is desirable as is a commitment to outpatient service development.

The role will be based in the Altrincham Outpatients Department and and will require some cross site cover at Withington and occasionally Trafford and Wythenshawe Outpatients .

Clinics run five days a week. Occasionally, staff members are required to support other wards and departments within the directorate. Core working hours are between 08:00 - 17: 00 Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Essential

First level registration - (RN(Adult) Relevant teaching qualification/Mentorship Diploma

Desirable

Appropriate management or leadership courses. Degree Level 6 study

Experience

Essential

Minimum of 3 years relevant post registration experience as a band 5 or band 6 Evidence of professional leadership, leading to innovation in practice. Evidence of multi disciplinary/multi agency working. Previous experience of working in an outpatient setting
