About Elevated Minds CIC:

Elevated Minds is a Community Interest Company established in April 2019, based in Southwark, London and also Birmingham.

Our aim is to tackle the disproportionate levels of Black and Minority Ethnic children, who are suspended from mainstream education, or have a low attendance level, by facilitating and delivering early-intervention services including accredited programmes.

We deliver this work in schools and educational establishments across London and Birmingham where the suspension is greatest.

What we require from you:


You will be working in a school environment, coaching young people between the age of 10 to 19 in-person weekly/fortnight (depending on the project).

You will be one of a group of associate coaches who work with a small number of coachees individually, and/or a in small group of 3-4 students.

Each session will be scheduled for up to 60 minutes and you will be required to prepare your coaching session in line with the company key areas of development which will be highlighted during the compulsory training session for all successful applicants.

You are required to monitor the progress by completing fortnightly record sheets of each coachee you work with. In terms of legality, you must also possess professional indemnity insurance.

Impact you will create:


Due to the nature of the role, we require all applicants to have extensive experience working with adults from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

You will also be expected to have good knowledge of the complexity clients from Black and Minority Ethnic communities often face.

You will be impacting the lives and careers of several new recruits who can excel in self
- awareness/identity, self-esteem, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, self-belief, and mindset shifts, recognising their strengths, developing areas of weakness, and reducing different forms of self-doubt. Your impact will help the new recruits confidently go into the world, knowing who they are and how they can use their voice, knowledge, and experiences to create sustainable change.
