Toro Recruitment is currently representing a Design and Build ICP company who is growing its operations department.

We are on the hunt for a Multi Lay Team to work across Southeast / London region and some project further afield.

The company focussing on the Residential, I&C markets currently and hold accreditation for Gas Main / Service Laying, LV and HV cable laying and will introduce Water very soon (GIRS, NERS and WIRS).


We are looking for a x2 person team to hold a NCO (G) in Main and Service Laying up to 355mm and training on Electrical and Water will be fully expensed and provided.


Key responsibilities:

  • Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE supplied and adhere to all group policies and procedures.
  • Install and commission gas, water, and electrical infrastructure as instructed, ensuring work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures, and safety instructions.
  • Accept delivery of plant and materials, and check fitness for purpose prior to use.
  • Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to the Project Manager.
  • Identify all contract variations in a timely manner and report to the Project Manager, working in accordance with the company's Variation and Deviations Procedure.
  • Complete sitespecific risk assessments daily and maintain a safe working environment.
  • If qualified, act as a Competent Person for ROs and NROs.
  • Attend and actively participate in "toolbox talks" and other training courses as required.
  • Record accurate details of work undertaken and submit relevant work details for recording and invoicing within the required timescale.
  • Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the Project Manager within the general experience scope of the individual.

Salary and benefits package:

  • Team Leader role is paying up to £50,000 per annum
  • Assistant role is paying up to £45,000 per annum
  • Performance bonus available paying up to £12k for TL and £6k for Assistant
  • 21 days holiday plus BH
  • Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm (40hrs per week
  • Overtime available: 1.5x on Sat & 2x Sunday and Bank Holidays
  • Pension scheme match up to 8%
