If this the role you are looking for, you will be working within a busy and experienced landscape planning team carrying out landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA), landscape and visual appraisals (LVA), landscape and townscape characterisation and assistance with Public Inquiry. Strategic landscape design which includes the preparation of landscape strategy / frameworks / masterplans to supplement the LVIA/LVA reporting is an important element of the role.

If you are our Senior or Consultant Landscape Architect you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly skilled at the appraisal and assessment process in relation to residential, mixed-use and renewable energy schemes. Experience of project management and direct client contact will be essential – at TG we encourage all levels to get involved with our wide ranging clients.

In a Senior Landscape Consultant we are looking for:

  • Minimum of five years' experience and Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) preferred
  • Proficient in carrying out LVIAs and LVAs, including input into landscape design / mitigation strategies
  • Proficient in EIA
  • Experience within both the England and Welsh planning system preferable
  • Proficient in providing due diligence advice to clients in respect to landscape character and visual matters
  • Experience of managing projects on time and to budget, including a lead role within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of business development and involvement or some experience of providing expert witness services would be an advantage
  • Excellent written skills
  • Full UK driving licence to enable site work

In a Landscape Consultant we are looking for:

  • Minimum of three years experience and either CMLI or registered on the Pathway to Chartership would be desirable
  • Familiar with the LVIA and LVA process, including input into landscape design / mitigation strategies
  • Familiar with EIA
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent written skills
  • Involvement or assistance with Public Inquiry work would be an advantage
  • Experience within both the England and Welsh planning system would be an advantage
  • A good understanding of software (including AutoCAD, GIS and Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Full UK driving licence to enable site work
