Job Purpose


To provide administrative support to the commercial team, fulfilling customer requirements and completing documentation relating to the sale, promotion and development of Valeo Snackfoods products.

The post holder will co-ordinate and deliver a range of trade marketing services for the UK Sales team including product sampling, point-of-sale fulfilment and trade show administration.

The role covers a range of commercial finance support duties, ensuring purchasing and invoicing accuracy and timely payments to customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Liaising with teams across the business, the post holder will ensure that all product, marketing and financial information provided to customers is accurate and uptodate when responding to requests for product information. This includes completion of new line forms, customer questionnaires and supporting the completion of tender documents.
  • The role covers a range of finance support duties including the administration of invoices, the use of Excel spreadsheets to track and report monthly sales performance and the analysis of financial data to verify invoiced charges and rebates before payment. Daily reporting/monitor sales performance (Volume, RSV, UROS), stock levels, store selling distributions and retail pricing.
  • Improving the effectiveness of pointofsale and promotional material through liaising with account managers, the Marketing department and managing UK pointofsale storage and fulfilment to include maintaining and reordering stock when needed, purchase ordering and internal processing.
  • As an integral member of the commercial team the post holder will support the delivery of relevant trade shows and events by managing the relationship with the logistics company with regards to the storage, set up and take down of the stand, and ensuring that the required stock and resources are delivered as required.
  • Administering the product sample process by handling and dispatching samples on behalf of the UK Sales team and organising product storage and administering stock control.
  • Handling Trade enquiries through monitoring and responding to enquiries from the website and mailbox, being the central point of contact for potential new customers and point of sale requests.
  • Being an instrumental member of the commercial team who are known for being first class for their creativity and agility, results oriented focus and 'one team' centered approach which is felt across the business.
  • Provision of support with other administrative tasks as required by the commercial function.
  • Visibility in store & depots frequent trade visits to ensure range, distribution and promotional compliance. Provide trade insight, photos and best practise for the Sales Team. Monitor and feedback on competitor promotional activity and NPD
