Job summary

The Senior Workforce Improvement and Efficiencies Manager will work as part of the Business Intelligence and Workforce Business Partner team within the Morriston Service Group. The role will work closely with local management and teams across the Service Group and wider Organisation to provide comprehensive workforce information, analysis, and planning input aligned to workforce metrics and workforce planning activities.

The role will involve leading and supporting on improvement and efficiency projects that support with workforce metrics; such as absence, PADR, recruitment, retention, staff wellbeing and staff experience.

The role is site based at Morriston Hospital, and requires a proactive, continuous improvement approach that builds and develops key stakeholder relationships and partnership working that contributes to overall workforce performance and efficiencies.

If you are driven, have enthusiasm for analysing data, enjoy working with people and have a keen interest in enhancing staff wellbeing and experience, have experience in conducting audits and providing audit feedback, have developed and delivered management training, have led on targeted workforce improvement projects and have experience and a good understanding of workforce metrics then this may be the role for you.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job include:

Develop, design, implement, administer, and communicate a Service Group performance management framework that allows all workforce KPI's to be measured against agreed standards and improvement targets.

Develop a set of meaningful performance measures (setting sensible targets), that are aligned to HB policy, WG targets and best practice benchmarking.

Analyse, interpret and advise on complex workforce data to produce options with recommendations.

Work with key stakeholders , Business Intelligence team, Workforce, finance/PMO to ensure the development, enhancement or acquisition of data needed to support performance measurement and management activities.

Lead on workforce performance and efficiency projects that support achieving agreed targets for workforce KPI's, cost improvement objectives and enhanced staff experience.

Conduct benefit impact assessments on recommended improvement and efficiency projects, which includes financial, operational and staff experience impact.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will take a lead in successfully delivering on improvement projects and work collaboratively with management and workforce colleagues to identify and deliver priorities for improvement and efficiency projects. This will include monitoring and identifying areas for improvement for the Health Board workforce key performance indicators, such as absence management, PADR, compliance, recruitment, and retention as well as any other identified metrics.
