Position Description:


nVehicle NVH is a key technical department within the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer.nWorking here, you'll give our vehicles their unique characteristics, ensuring the many aspects of refinement required to achieve the customer expectations for all the Clients' programmes.nIt is all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.nThe NVH Attributes Refinement Group encompasses 3 distinct teams; Prevention, Delivery and In-service Performance.nIts responsible for strategy, methods, targets, testing, detection and resolution, specifically for the attributes of Squeak & Rattle and Water and Air Ingress across the full vehicle, systems and components.nOperating from the very early phase of a vehicle programme, working cross functionally throughout design, development, manufacturing, launch until end of product life cycle.nYour will play a pivotal role within the In-service Performance team to enhance the customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles free from abnormal noise (Squeak & Rattle) and water leaks.nYour primary role will be to gather facts to make a clear problem definition, then to employ strong negotiation skills to drive problem resolution using 8D and other quality tools.nThe Performance team is responsible for issue resolutions that can arise internally through Manufacturing, Fleet users, Durability and Robustness vehicles and externally through warranty and IQS surveys.

nAutomotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferrednAbility to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomesnDemonstrable problem solving experience e.g.

Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving

Experience Required:


nAutomotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferrednDemonstrate potential to strategize work streams based on the Business PlannAbility to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomesnAbility to lead large project/ resolve complex issues through leading cross functional teamsnDemonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervisionnDemonstrable problem solving experience e.g.

Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solvingnGood experience of quality tools (8D, Fish bone, FTA, PDCA, 5Y etc)nAbility to analyse large data that translates into next actions Ability to plan work in 2 weeks sprints, organise work based on priority and deliver against plannBeing resourceful with Hands on complex problem solving capabilitynHighly motivated, fast learner and ability to easily handle multiple tasksnAbility to learn quickly new skills quickly (Have a Growth Mind-set)nDemonstrate good negotiation skills to promote issues to next phase of investigationnA proactive and personable nature to engage with cross functional areas.nMicrosoft package elements such Power Point and Excel to an intermediate levelnKnowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.

nAbility to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management A full UK driving licence
