Established for 40 years, the Leger Shearings Group is the leading provider of escorted holidays across UK, Europe and worldwide by luxury coach, air, rail & cruise.
The company is emerging from its most successful ever year and as following the recent acquisition of the Arena Travel brand we are looking to expand our finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the overall finance function with all administrative duties and assisting the rest of the team in busy times.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing customer refunds in a timely manner
- Daily cash / credit card receipt reconciliation
- Credit control duties working with the part time credit controller to chase late payers
- Entering journals in the finance system
- Answering internal and external telephone calls and providing high quality of service
- Processing incoming and outgoing post
- Scanning, printing, filing and other general administration duties
- Assisting other areas of the department eg purchase ledger at busy times
- Other duties as required by your manager or the wider department.
- Strong IT skills with at least moderate Excel ability
- Positive attitude and willingness to carry out a range of duties
- Professional, courteous telephone manner and good written communication skills
- Experience in a SME retail environment
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be an advantage but not essential
- A part / full accounting qualification eg AAT.
