London, Greater London, United Kingdom King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job overview

King's College Hospital has a large Therapy department with over 200 therapists from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Each service is organised under a Head of Profession with a Chief of Therapies heading up the service and representing Therapies across the Trust. The department has a well-established tradition of supervision and appraisal which ensures all staff are given the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge and to reach their full potential.

The Hand Therapy Outpatients department is based across King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust sites. You will join an enthusiastic and dedicated team, which includes Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and friendly learning environment.

Main duties of the job

Due to the continued development of this department, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist/ Physiotherapist to work in the Hand Therapy department. The role may require some cross site working at Denmark Hill and Beckenham Beacon to help meet the demands of the service.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to facilitate the management of plastic surgery, orthopaedic and rheumatologic hand conditions. There are also regular opportunities to apply for funding if you wish to attend any courses.

You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and be HCPC registered.
