The Role

A strategic hire to play a critical role in Pentland's next phase of Digital transformation. A senior ecommerce role that provides leadership but is also hands on in the delivery of our ecommerce ambition and digital product strategy across our brands.

Expert understanding of ecommerce platforms and digital technologies to ensure that they highlight the brands and products in the best possible way, whilst driving brand awareness, advocacy, and sales.

The ability to work cross functionally and influence key stakeholders across the business, help shape full funnel customer journeys that drive engagement and advocacy with end consumers.

The role you'll play

Set the future vision, strategy, and relevant business plans for all ecommerce initiatives and services, ensuring activities are in support of the brand ambitions. Accountable for ensuring the strategy is based on robust data, is creative & innovative in its thinking, and is aligned with the overarching digital & brand vision. Drive forward the digitalization of Pentland Brands, using technology and data to transform/modernize how work is done across the organization, the goal being to improve the experience of both Pentland's external consumers as well as internal employees. Feed into the global ecommerce and digital technology roadmap and the delivery of tangible outcomes that align with the digital & brand visions. Responsible for forging strong relationships with key stakeholders delivering the brand and regional vision in a digital context. Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to deliver outstanding end to end consumer journeys. Manage partner agencies scope, performance and budget and ensure they are delivering against agreed deliverables. In collaboration with the Brand teams, regions & IT, define the global and regional digital flagship experience, proactively ensuring that digital product propositions and the online brand activations are compelling and resonate with consumers. Commercial accountability for the brand ecommerce sales targets, understanding the levers that influence operating profit. Test & learn (A/B test, user feedback) new digital product propositions and digital activations. Proactively evangelise the voice of the Digital Customer within the Digital team and across wider teams around the organisation. Use data to inform future strategy to provide maximum business intelligence to encourage profitability and growth. Manage and develop an efficient and effective high-performance team that always delivers against targets.

What you'll bring

Proven record of accomplishment of delivering successful ecommerce growth with a consumer centric approach. Strong analytical skills with experience of using Google Analytics. Robust understanding of all digital marketing channels and how they are relevant across different consumer journeys. Experience in Budgeting and P&L management. Solid understanding of digital experience design. A natural preference for working collaboratively and cross-functionally. A team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across several teams. Strategic but can be hands-on and deliver detailed tactical plans. Proactive and creative thinker who can bring new ideas to the table. Ability to communicate results to senior stakeholders in a way that engages them in what we do and why we do it.
