We are currently seeking a Chef to join our essential team at HMS Caledonia, Rosyth, KY11 2XH

• Full-time - 35 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday, Shifts between 7am - 6.30pm. Please note the need for holiday cover, potentially leading to modified/extra shifts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all legislative, client, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Prepare food in line with menu requirements, portion sizes, garnishing, and service timings
• Ensure service counters are consistently restocked
• Assist in cleaning surfaces, areas, utensils, and equipment
• Help with mis-en-place for the next day's menu
• Prepare and serve additional food as needed
• Complete any other tasks essential for team objectives
• Manage food costs within company standards; facilitate retail sales at the point of purchase
• Portray a professional company image through posture, appearance, and hygiene
• Respond positively to customer needs
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
• Embody the company's Goal Statement philosophy
• Participate in required training to meet operational standards
• Collaborate with the team to enhance overall performance

Requirements

• Relevant culinary qualification or minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in a chef role in a kitchen environment
• Allergen awareness (e.g., Natasha's Law), training provided
• Strong team player and communicator
• DBS check necessary
