This jointer will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within network operations based in our Borehamwood office.
You will attract a salary of £35,061 per annum - Depending on experience + overtime, standby and full benefits and a bonus of 3%.

We are the country's biggest electricity distributor We make sure the lights stay on for more than eight million homes and businesses across London, the South East and the East of England.
You'll also work alongside engineers and others to ensure we can deliver 1st class service to our customers
You'll also oversee the restoration of Low Voltage supplies on the UK Power Networks distribution system, carrying out jointing repairs on LV cables and switching operations on the LV network
Duties
Fault finding on the Distribution network
The restoration of LV supplies in agreement with central control
Test and switch on the LV network - and understanding the results of the tests
Repair to public lighting services
Supervise excavating teams
Understand and provide updates for operational diagrams,
Low Voltage jointing
Use appropriate IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and electronic touch pad.
Supervise Craft Attendant.
Inspection and Maintenance
As main member of our team, our jointers play a vital role in the safe and timely restoration of LV supplies.
UK Power Networks is regulated by multiple guidelines, and you will be important in ensuring successful compliance with Customer Minutes Lost and Customer Interruption targets.

As an experienced Jointer, you'll also need these key skills for this role:
City and Guilds 2339 (formally 2322) certificate or equivalent
NRSWA qualification as a supervisor and operative m(or equivalent
A flexible approach to out of hours work
Be able to work in a team
Ability to problem solve in a practical way
Working calmly under pressure
A Clean driving licences
Personal Skills
You'll also have:
A safety focus
Customer focused
Potential to undertake shift working
You'll also receive regular training For starters we can up-skill you on fault finding experience on Low Voltage networks, but you may be experienced already
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Employees need to be aware that for some craft and operational roles that work at height, or use fall arrest devices, there is an upper weight limit of 116Kg due to maximum safe working load of the safety equipment that is used.
