This shifted jointer will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within Network Operations based in our Borehamwood office. You will be a permanent employee in our UK Power Networks team.

You will attract a salary of £37,165 - (depending on skills and experience)and a bonus of 3%.

Job Purpose:

To manage electrical works which range from the connection of new supplies, diversion and alterations to locating and repairing faults.

Principal Accountabilities:

Location and restoration of faults on the LV underground Network.Connect new/altered housing supplies and reinforcements.Connect diversions both HV/LV for developers or Local Authorities up to 33KV.Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment in this role.Deliver the job to time and guaranteed service levels.Complete work to the correct specification.To perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.Manage Craft Attendant.Use IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and FFE equipmentSupervise excavating teams

Nature and Scope:

You will work with the team to achieve the targets set out in the Performance Dashboard. You will work under their own initiative and demonstrate the ability to manage risk assessments to create a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

City and Guilds 2339 (formally 2322) certificate or equivalentHAUC (NRSWA) qualification as a supervisor and operativeFlexibility and able to work in a team environmentAbility to problem solve in a practical wayAble to work under pressureMust have a clean driving licenceUnderstand operational and 1:500 diagrams

Health & Safety Responsibilities
