Levy are seeking an experienced Environment & Release Manager working 2 days a month in Edinburgh to support Release and Environment Management activities across Platform, Digital, and Surround Technologies. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and running Release and Environment management processes and procedures across our various Platform estates, including in-house, 3rd party hosted, and outsourced technologies. This will include providing governance and oversight of outsourced and 3rd party hosted release management processes and implementations, and planning and executing deployments to developed and hosted technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor others, guiding them in delivering effective outcomes aligned with business needs.
  • Manage resources on a one-to-one basis, including managing performance and addressing people issues within the assigned team.
  • Line manage Release Managers, including their performance management, objective setting, and training and development.
  • Act as a liaison between the technology department and business stakeholders, fostering effective communication and understanding of project objectives.
  • Assess the impact of changes to our technology and coordinate the delivery and scheduling of changes and releases with internal technical teams and external suppliers.
  • Work with the Release Manager to ensure consistency of deployment planning and execution across all technologies.
  • Coordinate deployment activities on complex multi-component deliveries across internal and external teams from test to production.
  • Define and implement Deployment Management processes and procedures across all areas of technology.
  • Educate and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to embed processes and behaviors across technology.
  • Manage and track environment usage and coordinate demand across multiple projects, releases, and stakeholders.
  • Perform post-release/deployment reviews and make recommendations to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Produce management information and reporting associated with release and deployment volumes and success.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Good understanding of Platform technology and working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Experience in platform release, deployment, or configuration management roles.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Excel, SharePoint, and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate improvement options.
  • Experience defining and implementing processes and frameworks across multiple technology functions.
  • Ability to influence and educate users and management.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify risks and issues and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Confidence to use your own initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and remain agile with conflicting work demands.
