About the Role:
The primary focus of the Careers Advisor role is to optimize graduate outcomes and improve student experience.
As a Careers Advisor, your responsibilities include guiding recent graduates and final year students towards achieving their career goals. You will need to stay updated on the graduate labor market and key employability trends across various industries to provide the best support to students and graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact and offer initial support for all graduate inquiries, whether in person or via email, from students, alumni, employers, and faculty.
- Provide personalized career guidance appointments to students and graduates to help them make informed decisions about their future.
- Conduct relevant workshops and group sessions to promote the Careers Service to students, graduates, and faculty members.
- Assist students and graduates in utilizing career resources and online platforms effectively, identifying their needs through active listening and questioning.
- Encourage student attendance at workshops or 1:1 appointments based on their career needs, managing the booking system efficiently.
- Stay updated on current careers and employability information, contributing to the development of resources under the guidance of the Graduate Manager.
