Salary:
UK - £27,914, London & Surrounding Counties - £30,370

Working Hours: 35

About Us

The Role

As an Education and Training Lead you will engage key stakeholders in your region, deliver accredited training to professionals, run interactive workshops with young people, deliver awareness sessions with parents/carers, and collaborate with your colleagues to ensure the ongoing improvement and success of the programme.

The role will be a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2024 to coincide with the funding for the current programme.

Should GamCare secure further funding to extend the programme beyond April 2024 then a permanent contract offer is likely.

You will form part of an enthusiastic team who are committed to supporting young people affected by gambling-related harm across the United Kingdom, and work with a supportive programme leadership team.

You might have a basic understanding of gambling harms, but if you have the enthusiasm to learn all about it in a non-judgemental way, we would like to hear from you.

If you are skilled at engaging young people or facilitating training and can build strong relationships with stakeholders to generate interest in what our programme offers, then you might be exactly who we are looking for.

With demonstrable experience of championing, promoting, and marketing the work of a programme or service you will actively seek out opportunities in your region, maintain relationships with stakeholders through accurate and timely record keeping, and identify and secure future opportunities for programme delivery.

If you are passionate about preventing harm experienced by children and young people, enjoy working in a collaborative team environment but are comfortable working autonomously, then this role is for you.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your regional colleagues to develop new and maintain existing relationships with key stakeholders, aiming to meet your collective regional targets and overall programme targets, whilst maximising opportunities across other GamCare programmes and treatment services.
  • Act as a frontline ambassador for GamCare, upholding our values and championing the organisation's work through your interactions with external stakeholders.
  • Utilising your skills and experience in public speaking, presenting, and facilitating, deliver interactive and engaging sessions to young people, professionals, and parents/carers to raise awareness of gamblingrelated harm experienced by young people.
  • Ensuring the relevant monitoring and evaluation forms are provided and encouraging the completion of pre and post activity surveys to ensure the programme can evidence outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationship with your colleagues in the youth programme, our partner networks, and across GamCare to ensure a team culture of collaboration and ongoing improvement.
  • Share best practice and build a positive team environment, ensuring our stakeholders have a memorable experience, and we deliver the best possible programme.

  • 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (prorated for parttime colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service
  • A generous Pension Scheme we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%.
