The East of England Regional EPRR team has an exciting opportunity for a EPRR Officer to work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective EPRR, analytics and performance management information service.


There are two position is for 37.5 hours per week and one for 22.5 hours per week, however, there may be some flexibility in how these hours are worked across the working week.


The post holder will offer specialist advice and support to managers and staff across the region to meet the standard required to manage unexpected and unquantified incidents.

The post holder will also provide support in the development and delivery of emergency plans, training and exercising, and response to incidents requiring NHS England leadership.

Key job responsibilities are to support the implementation of an effective emergency planning and resilience system for the NHS in the East of England region, specifically:
To support the delivery and maintenance of the regional EPRR function and a robust reporting and analytical service that is responsible to local and regional requirements

  • Attend (where applicable) health and multiagency EPRR groups as requested providing health liaison and input as well as administrative support.
  • To support and deliver agreed training for staff, eg. Regional Operation Centre, Major Incident Loggist and Business Continuity;
  • To support the work of the Regional Operation Centre;
  • To support the wider team in the coordination and collation of returns, producing reports and identifying areas of concern for further areas of assurance;
  • To support the EPRR team in the development and maintenance of plans (including business continuity plan);
  • To participate as a member of the Incident Management Team, specifically fulling roles such as EPRR Duty Manager;
  • To provide business intelligence to enhance delivery of national and local targets;
  • To develop a close and effective partnerships as part of an integrated team.

Work alongside the Senior Manager (Training and Assurance) and other members of the EPRR team to deliver an agreed EPRR work-plan.

Ensure that relevant, accurate and appropriate information is gathered, collated and provided in a timely fashion, and in an easily understandable format.

Validate the accuracy of outgoing information and communicate complex issues to the appropriate audience for action.


The post holder will focus their time on EPRR duties and support the wider organisational response to arrange of incidents.
