Environmental Services Operative Level 3

The Bromsgrove Place team are looking for an Environmental Services Operative Level 3
To help support the day-to-day operational needs of the team.
Grade 5 (SCP
£27,334 to £29,777 per annum
37 hours per week (any 4 & 5 day working patterns apply from any 7 days)
Special working arrangements for Bank Holidays and Christmas working may apply.
The role will be focused on supporting the Coordinators in delivering the services, monitoring the health and safety compliance and standards of the team as they work across the district to deliver our wide range of services.
The right candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable person that can bring a calm and constructive approach to all aspects of their work.
They will also be able to work flexibly across both Redditch and Bromsgrove areas, as and when required by the Place teams across both authorities.
Key Requirements –
To help support our service delivery there will be work done towards grading our service standards in the district and feeding back on what that looks like against a national scoring system.
As part of this role, the ability to use basic IT systems will be necessary to update records and databases relevant to our services and to help assist the daily operational needs and planning of the team.
This role will have HGV driving requirements to support operational needs and class `c' driving license will be a requirement for the role which any successful candidate will be required to have, or will have acquired prior to their 6 month probation period completion.
Operational guidance and support will be given to support the role as well as any additional specific training required, the ESO 3 will be expected to check on work progress and speak to residents on a regular basis.
Skills & experience –

At least 3 years' experience and related training in Landscape Maintenance, Cleansing, Waste Management or similar disciplines is essential.An excellent understanding of the districts and the services that are delivered by the authoritiesFull UK diving license and Category C HGV.Must be able to carry out manual duties in all weatherA good understanding of Health and safety principles and understanding of safe working practices and the application of risk assessments.Must be trained in the use of any powered hand tools, machinery and specialist equipment associated or related to one or more of the services disciplinesThe closing date for receipt of completed applications is Friday 14 June 2024 (midnight)Additional Information –
