Commis Chef Position Available in Bolton, Greater Manchester

We're on the lookout for a skilled Commis Chef to join our dedicated team in Bolton.

This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no late evenings, offering an excellent work-life balance

Location: MBDA, Lea Field Way, Bridgewater Ave, Bolton BL5 1EE

The chosen candidate will need to undergo a DSB check.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of chefs, ensuring seamless communication
  • Adhere to recipe cards to create a variety of dishes
  • Complete necessary paperwork for compliance purposes
  • Assist with deliveries and maintain stock inventory
  • Manage food orders and kitchen records
  • Maintain proper temperature logs for kitchen equipment
  • Contribute to routine kitchen cleaning tasks
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of menu items
  • Supervise food production to minimize waste
  • Train and guide new team members on kitchen procedures and standards
  • Participate in relevant training sessions as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar food service setting
  • Relevant culinary certification at level 2 or higher
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Security and DBS checks are mandatory for this role
  • Flexibility and a knack for innovation
