As Senior Internal Communications Officer you will deliver inspiring, actionable and measurable strategic internal communications and campaigns for staff and volunteers across the organisation.

Using expertise to improve staff and volunteer communications and engagement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent strategic internal communications across multiple channels including digital, events and print for our people.
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly content planning for the team ensuring key dates are recognised and hooks and utilised.
  • Using evidence and insight work closely with colleagues in other teams, acting as an adviser on how to create communications that our people understand and can act on.
  • Ensure our internal communications are inspiring and informative proactively seeking out new ways to communicate with our staff and volunteers in this new hybrid working environment
  • Work with the wider media and corporate communications team to bring consistency across channels, making content work harder
- particularly in an emergency

  • Deliver internal communications and campaigns that meet our internal communications principles to ensure people can engage and act
  • Creating content across copywriting, interviewing, storytelling and design turning complex information into easy to access internal communications. Play a senior role to offer advice on best practice for internal content creation
  • Commission content products both internally and externally across photography, video etc
  • Strong experience of delivering internal communications campaigns to dispersed and hybrid audiences
  • Strong experience of content creation and content commissioning
  • Ability to project manage campaigns
  • Strong experience of delivering content for a target audience, using insight to guide this delivery
  • Good knowledge of effectiveness evaluation metrics and techniques
  • Strong experience of building relationships to deliver effective communications
  • Experience of working in a complex organisation with a national and international reputation
  • Ability to use platforms to measure the delivery and impact of our
  • High IT literacy in the use of Microsoft 365
