As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our sales operation to drive business growth by targeting a wide portfolio of customers

Our new Head Office is based in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire and with our sister company, Star Platforms, we currently have eight depots across the company – Bristol, Northwest, Kent, Luton, Reading, Midlands, Anglia, and Southwest with ambitious growth plans for Star Power within these depots.

We are looking to appoint a Sales Director who will lead and develop our sales operation to achieve our sales goals and objectives.

This is a crucial role for the Company – if you are a leader with a strong commercial sales background, excellent communication & relationship building skills then this could be the opportunity for you
Develop and execute strategy plans to achieve/exceed sales targets.

  • Manage and monitor all sales in Star Power.
  • Lead, motivate, inspire, and guide the sales team to achieve their best performance.
  • Establish strategies that aim to improve overall business success across the sales function.
  • Devising and implementing new business initiatives and sales strategies and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Overseeing the company's sales growth by evaluating sales reports and capitalising on products and services.
  • Recruitment of sales professionals to assist and maintain the long-term growth of the business.
  • Securing large accounts with the sales team and negotiating contract agreements with customers.
  • Presenting sales figures to the board and updating on sales growth against company targets.

3+ years' experience of working in a senior sales management role ideally within a generator hire or construction environment.

~ Connections to industry specialist in both Sales and Operations who can be introduced to Star Power.
~ Strong negotiating and sales skills.
~ Sales focused with a competitive nature.
~ In-depth knowledge/understanding of sales practices and processes.
~ A proven background in senior sales management with an understanding of mechanical and electrical Engineering.
~ Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
