Male Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical and Learning Disability living in the Coatbridge area.


You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within the home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

  • Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and healthy snacks
  • Walking, Cycling, watching football and assisting with participation in these physical activities
  • Moving and assisting pushing manual wheelchair
  • Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Driver essential and you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.

  • The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._


Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Favourite activities are swimming, adapted sports, music, golf, horse riding, sensory experiences, attending football and socialising.

Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home sometimes.

Experience is required.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for one position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 10 hours per week.

Days and times:

Saturday and Sunday - 10 hours split between 2 days, hours to be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate:

£11.00 per hour
