Job Description Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform EYA using tools such as PVsyst, site suitability analysis for the preconstruction projects. Also, performance assessment based on historical records review as well as EYA for operational projects;
  • Perform site visit to projects already in operation to identify any issues that could affect the longterm operation of the plants
  • Perform site visits to terrains where projects are being developed to detect the risks associated with the terrain, restrictions (rivers, electric lines, protected trees), the surroundings and other possible constraints that could affect the project both during the construction or the operational phase
  • Design layout of PV plants using tools such as AutoCAD, Helios 3D and PVcase
  • Support the construction team in the Owner ́s Engineering services
  • Support during the development phase of the PV projects
  • Technical consultancy services in solar energy sector and renewable sources;
  • Technical Due Diligence Performance and Supervisory;
  • Construction and Operation Monitoring.

Key requirements:

  • Knowledge of the UK renewables market (Previous experience as a consultant or a developer in the UK market).
  • Knowledge of grid interconnection procedures and requirements in the UK;
  • Knowledge of permitting procedures and administrative requirements in the UK;
  • High level knowledge of solar assessment and energy assessment (from irradiance measurements, to performance data analysis);
  • Good knowledge of solar energy technology;
  • Good Experience in performing, for PV projects, preconstruction and postconstruction Technical Due Diligence on and included activities (all or in part) like Permitting Assessment, Engineering Assessment, Wind Turbine Technology Review, Contracts Review and Assessment, CAPEX, FM inputs review;
  • Language Skills: English: native or very high level.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office package, AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Project

Desired requirements:

  • Charter Engineer qualifications will be considered a plus
  • Good Experience in Construction and Performance Monitoring of Solar Power Plants;
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical calculation programs (Matlab);
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages.
  • 4 years in the renewable energy sector

Education:

  • Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, aerospace, energy) or Math, Physics
