We are looking for a highly specialised Cardiac Physiologist to join our Community Cardiology Team. Working in our community sites at Poole Health Centre, Swanage Community Hospital and Wimborne Community Hospital.

We require a physiologist to provide an Echocardiography service for our open access echocardiography.

This is a physiologist lead service so you should be able to work autonomously as you will be working independently in the community reporting directly to the local GP s and being confident in being able to triage when results need to be escalated to Consultant Cardiologists.

The role is a full-time Monday to Friday, we can be flexible and would consider condensed hours. You will work either or both Saturday and


Provide a specialised clinical technical service to patients, to include 12 lead electrocardiograms, 24 hour ECG recording, patient activated recorders, 7 day cardiac monitoring, and echocardiography.


Provide a highly complex and highly specialist clinical technical service to patients suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders requiring out-patient echocardiography.

Undertake interpretation of results and provision of reports. Reports may directly influence management of patients

Provide highly specialist advice to clinicians including interpretation of procedures and management of patients.


Work collaboratively with a team of other health professionals to deliver a service that provides complex and specialised diagnostic testing.
