Job Purpose:

Stores Team Leader to fulfil key role to oversee all aspects of stores and logistic operations and support across Manufacturing, Test and wider business departments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of stores operations including, inventory management of stock and consumables. Ensure Min/Max stock levels are maintained.
  • Line Management of stores team
  • Receiving items against purchase orders using business MRP system. (SAGE)
  • Receipt of incoming orders and release of incoming inspection paperwork.
  • Booking in of project, stock parts and consumables allocating bonded material numbers ensuring 100% accuracy and traceability.
  • Kit out parts against project specific BoM's / Kit list's maintaining full traceability.
  • Obtain quotes and raise purchase requests for stock and consumable items.
  • Control of ground support equipment, assembly, testing plates etc.
  • Pack and dispatch of finished goods and any other goods ensuring best cost and efficiency with the logistic companies in accordance with relevant guidelines for transport of dangerous goods.
  • Engage with internal and external stake holders to encourage best practice and understand any issues that preventing smooth running of all logistic activities.
  • Perform annual stock counts.
  • Attend project procurement meetings and provide relevant data to procurement sheets.
  • Liaise with finance as required.
  • Internal support to all departments as required.
  • Ensure good housekeeping. (5s)
  • Ensuring the Health & Safety of everyone within area of responsibility, including leading/managing risk assessments, safety protocol adherence and ensuring relevant PPE adherence.
  • Always ensuring the safety of products and hardware, including ensuring relevant safety measure adherence.

Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Driving licence preferred
  • Forklift licence
  • Previous experience managing inventory levels and company wide stock takes.
  • Knowledge and previous experience of handling, storage and shipping of dangerous goods.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Proficient skills with MS Office / Office 365 suite of programmes.
  • An ability to work in a multiproject environment; to effectively prioritize and work to detailed scheduled plans and tight deadlines.

  • Excellent people skills and a team worker and an ability to work independently.
  • Target, output and objective driven.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet demanding business needs.
  • Able to use initiative with good problem solving and good analytical skills.
