Company Overview:
A respected provider of high-accuracy machined components and gear technology solutions to the aerospace and defense sector is in a phase of growth and seeks a Setter Operator to join their team.

Job Description:
This role involves operating and setting up various machinery such as CNC and Mazak systems to prepare materials and tooling for upcoming tasks. By using engineering blueprints, the focus is on manufacturing precise components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industries.

Duties:
  • Operate and configure CNC Turning and Milling machines.
  • Transition machine settings efficiently between different tasks within set timeframes.
  • Interpret and understand programming instructions effectively.
  • Use micrometers, verniers, and other inspection tools to verify work accuracy against blueprint specifications.
  • Ensure production meets desired quantities and standards through in-process inspections.
  • Handle technical inquiries as needed.
  • Support colleagues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to quality protocols and company processes.
  • Maintain punctuality and report any issues promptly to Unit Manager or Supervisor.
  • Comply with company health and safety regulations and complete required training.

Skills & Attributes:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a comparable industry or role.
  • Proficient in utilizing various measuring equipment.
  • Strong mathematical and technical aptitude.
  • Experience in systematic problem-solving.
  • Proactive team player.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.

Hours of Work:
40 hours/week
Mon – Thurs: 07:00 – 15:45
Fri: 06:00 – 13:00
