The Role:


We are currently looking for a Community Liaison Coordinator to join our vibrant and committed Migrant Help team, on aPermanent Contract.


You will work as part of our Home Office contract covering Advice, Issue Reporting and Eligibility (AIRE) within a Specialised Services team to develop and maintain partnerships with private, public and voluntary sector organisations.

This involves workingwith local communities to meet the needs of our clients and support the successful delivery of the contract.


The post holder is required to establish practical and meaningful outreach relationships which may lead to service commissioning and deliver training programs as appropriate to other service providers including advice hubs and voluntary sector agencies.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Establish, build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholder, community organisations and voluntary sector agencies, within the Asylum Seekers and Refugee sector, to establish referral protocols, commissioning arrangements and partnershipworking agreements to support the effective delivery of the AIRE contract and to promote Migrant Help provision as a complimentary part of the wider support community
  • To map regional provision of services (pastoral, health, art, fitness activities etc.) and update the Directory of Local Services to support clients both inside and outside Initial Accommodations
  • Work in partnership with the AIRE Outreach team to ensure our most vulnerable clients are well supported
  • To instigate and build on working relationships with statutory sector providers such as DWP, JCP, housing and education in order to map integration pathways and facilitate effective moveon
  • Provide information and training to third sector / community groups to enable them to be proactive in their assistance of asylum seekers/ refused asylum seekers as required
  • Provide a monthly impact assessment report, providing written updates on activity, relationship management (new relationships / contacts made, concerns or issues within existing relationships etc.), highlight potential case studies, provide informationon activities we have facilitated and been involved with, to highlight areas of good practice and where there are opportunities for improvements and evidencing the positive impact we are making
  • To keep up to date with issues affecting asylum seekers, refugees, social and community cohesion, locally, regionally and nationally

Experience and Skills:
