The Supply Chain function operates as a multidisciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
  • As Outsourced Maintenance Supply Chain Team Leader you will be responsible and accountable for the Outsourced Maintenance Program for Supply Chain.
  • You will organise, evaluate & set up the team allocation to cover the heavy maintenance plan. Plan & prepare shipping & customs processes & standard operating procedures with freight agents. Delivering on Supply Chain support for ontime performance on aircraft inputs. Maximise productivity, efficiency & minimise cost for the TUI supply chain. You will manage the outsourced maintenance material rep team ensuring that they are appropriately trained, motivated and resourced. Responsible for the team in delivering effective and compliant material supply for outsourced maintenance MRO's, including logistics, buying, and expediting. Responsible for the team in achieving the performance objectives consistent with company values. In the absence of the Northern/Continental Region Supply Chain Manager, you will be required to assume responsibility.
  • In this role, you'll report to the Northern/Continental Region Supply Chain Manager.

This role can be based in Luton or Brussels and offers flexible virtual working arrangements.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As Outsourced Maintenance Supply Chain Team Leader, you will be responsible & accountable for:
  • Responsible for the Supply Chain coordination between the different MROs to facilitate effective, efficient, and timely Supply Chain management.
  • Build a strong relationship between the Supply Chain & Outsourced Maintenance team & MRO's focusing on MRO selection/engagement & setup and provide HMP seasonal feedback on operational issues.
  • Responsible for all training aspects for your staff to carry out their daily role including AMOS & software set up, contract material provisioning, spares shortage sheets & MRO check cost review.
  • Accountable for the correct ordering, purchase order placement, track delivery compliance and accounts payable issue resolution for outsourced base maintenance. Approve purchases, loans, and quotes.
  • Manage & evaluate changes to the heavy maintenance plan. Build a supporting, optimal and committed workforce plan and deliver changes to the team. Will be an onsite material rep at MROs as required.
  • Responsible for compliance with Brexit & visa requirements and set up and approve travel & expenses.
  • Escalation contact for all spares issues at external MRO's.
  • Responsible for evaluating staff resource plans & training matrix to ensure sufficient staff are available to meet the required departmental work commitments and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan & setout appropriate targets that will allow performance to be measured. Taking necessary action if effectiveness falls. Develop team performance management & career development.
  • Accountable for Supply Chain Outsourced maintenance internal financial controls including Inventory corrections, annual Inventory stock checks at MRO's & material clear ups.
  • Defining and managing the transport network taking local customs requirements into account.
  • Responsible for process improvement by driving operational excellence & processes to increase efficiency and ensure compliance way of working. Initiate & communicate innovations with stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor/Degree education level or relevant experience.
  • Outsourced Maintenance expertise: striving for excellence: Focusing on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.
  • Indepth knowledge of the procurement rules and regulations applicable within the organisation and Supply Chain department is essential for this role.
  • Proactive, resultoriented, and energetic with a structured approach to complex tasks and a good understanding of the details.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills and a dedicated team player who is also proficient when working independently.
  • Comfortable working within a multicultural environment.
  • Previous people management experience is an advantage.
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and will involve substantial travel during heavy maintenance season, on a global basis.
