From the initial brief to printing the final label, we pride ourselves on the outstanding quality, production, and service we deliver, while supporting our clients through their packaging journey.


About the role
As a Print Assistant Team Leader you can expect to:

  • Support the department Supervisor in leading the prepress team to ensure maximum output is achieved whilst maintaining the very highest quality of work.
  • Monitor the daily schedule and ensure the running order is followed and prepared for. Hold daily updates with the Prepress Supervisor to discuss.
  • Provide staff training on machinery, processes, and all requirements in Prepress
  • Carry out problem solving and fault finding
  • Ensure high quality of cleanliness and tidiness in all areas of work
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised, and machines maintained
  • Daily communication with opposite Prepress Team Leader to ensure smooth running and job completion
  • Be the first point of contact for Press staff
  • Sign jobs on/off and check paperwork in Supervisors Absence
  • Report faults and issues to the Prepress Supervisor
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards in Prepress
  • Provide cover for Supervisor's absence
  • Work within the remit of ISO9001, PS900 and BRC standards
  • Learn press controls & basic running of machines, so that cover for short periods can be provided.

About you

You will have:

  • Previous experience as a Print Assistant
  • Team Leader experience is preferred but not essential
  • Be good at problem solving and identifying where improvements can be made
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Work as an effective team member and independently
  • Self motivated with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions/procedures essential
  • Demonstrate good initiative with a can do approach

Shift pattern - Double Days weekly rotating

Early Shift 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, half an hour unpaid lunch

Late Shift 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday, half an hour unpaid lunch

Salary for this position is up to £26,000 (including shift allowance), dependant on your experience.
