Are you passionate about mechanical design and eager to kickstart your career? We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Mechanical Designer to join our client's dynamic team in Newbury.

Hours

Monday – Friday

Salary up to £45k

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing thorough mechanical services design encompassing heating, cooling, ventilation, and domestic water, supported by calculations conducted through software,
  • Preparing client briefing presentations and documents for project presentations.
  • Supporting the technical design and integration of mechanical systems for both new and ongoing projects, receiving guidance from senior colleagues:
  • Cooperating on the management and design of individual projects, resolving technical issues under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contributing to various aspects of Mechanical design within the Company.
  • Participating in project meetings with senior staff and internal discussions to review progress and policies.
  • Creating client briefing documents and presentations for projects to aid Senior engineers.
  • Conducting calculations, designs, and assessments as needed for projects, under the supervision of senior team members.

Skills/Qualifications desired:
Either a current member of CIBSE or actively pursuing membership while striving for Chartered Engineering status.

Ideally, possessing a minimum of 3 years' experience and actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Proficient use of Office 365 and Autocad.

Familiarity with IES software is advantageous if available.

Embracing a positive and collaborative team-oriented attitude.

Knowledge of Revit/ AutoCAD 3D.

Previous working experience and knowledge of residential, retail, commercial, and Education sectors
