Role Purpose
Define, manage and deliver customer-sponsored, cross-functional projects and programmes to agreed time, cost, quality, risk and benefits specifications. Working up to Director level, the programme manager will manage portfolios and programmes in value between £5m and £50m with a high complexity.
What You'll Do
- Engage across delivery organisation and programme stakeholders to scope out and plan mobile network programmes. Define clear Roles & Responsibilities and reporting relationships for stakeholders, provide performance feedback
- Create and maintain baseline programme plans ; track end to end programme delivery against plan.
- Organise and chair governance reviews & Steercos.
- Provide regular reporting to provide management visibility and buy-in, manage escalations.
- Identify risks and issues and dependencies; define mitigation and recovery plans, assign ownership and drive resolution.
- Participates in a culture of continuous improvement and best practice and manages change and transition effectively to minimise the disruption to project delivery and people
- Strong project governance and appropriate use of control mechanisms to ensure excellent customer outcomes
- Defines scope, business objectives, benefits requirements and deliverables that stakeholders expect
- Excellent inter-personal and communications skills, strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge from outside own area of expertise
- A solid understanding of Programme budget analysis and forecasting.
