Main purpose of role:

At Optimal Maintenance, our field-based team is the backbone of our operations, ensuring the smooth execution of every maintenance task and project. These proficient problem-solvers are instrumental in driving the success of Optimal Maintenance by delivering exceptional property repairs, maintenance services, and ensuring client satisfaction. The daily responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer may include:

  • Conducting thorough property inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
  • Performing scheduled repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently
  • Responding promptly to emergency callouts and addressing urgent maintenance issues
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance-related problems
  • Utilizing specialized tools and equipment for effective repairs and installations
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work and communicating effectively with clients

Skills / Experience / Competence:
Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and joinery skills
  • DBS Certificate/check holder
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills with a focus on quality work
  • Reliable and committed to delivering consistent high-quality work
  • Confident in quoting and winning projects
  • Proficient in using smartphones
