Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Registered Manger within the Fostering Team to work full time based for an Independent Fostering Agency based in Bexleyheath.
The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is up to £60,000 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To manage services developed by the agency in line with business objectives and processes.
  • To ensure all services meet the expectations of commissioners, customers and regulatory bodies.
  • To have overall sight of the fostering service provision with a focus on the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people cared for by the Independent Fostering Agency.
  • To foster a culture of continuous improvement within the agency and drive forward necessary change and development in line with the business plan.
  • Manage and monitor the Social Work staff team effectively to ensure maximum individual effort, personal develop, team performance and effective appraisals.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with other partners and participate in fully in joint work, where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continual customer service improvement, overseeing services delivered to customers and being responsible for ensuring that these services are delivered to the highest standard.
  • To assist where required in updating the internal policies and procedures in line with regulations and National Minimum Standards.
  • To continuously improve personal development, knowledge and awareness of issues relating to Fostering Services/Regulations and use it to the benefit of the agency.
  • To carry out all the above duties and responsibilities in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to anti-racism and equality of opportunity.
  • To attend child protection, safeguarding meetings, standards of care meetings where required.
  • To participate fully in the inspection and monitoring process of the organisation.
  • To undertake any other relevant duties associated with being the Registered Manager of the Independent Fostering Agency.

Requirements of this role:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines to ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.
  • This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
