Our Therapists aid in hospital discharges, preventing admissions, and long-term self-management, empowering patients to lead better lives in their home environment. We offer Planned (Domiciliary) therapy to ensure patients receive early assessments and support to maintain their independence and prevent future issues. Our focus is on actively rehabilitating patients at their residence to maximize their functional abilities and assist them in staying independent at home.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Physiotherapist to join our vibrant team, striving to enhance independence and choice for our service users and their caregivers.

In return, you will have the chance to develop specialized skills and improve your collaborative work; we will provide regular training and supervision, along with opportunities to enhance your leadership abilities.

We provide a flexible service with extended hours, operating 7 days a week to meet the needs of our service users. The work schedule includes weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Be an autonomous practitioner responsible for the safe and comprehensive assessment and management of your caseload.
  • Work within your practice's boundaries.
  • Independently plan and prioritize your workload, supervising assistants, support staff, and students as needed.
  • Guide service users in setting appropriate goals.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning and treatment expertise to implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records according to guidelines.
  • Collaborate with a broader MDT to achieve patient objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with the wider MDT and manage service users' cases as necessary.
  • Delegate and supervise tasks and physiotherapy treatment plans to Rehabilitation Workers/Physiotherapy Assistants/Technicians.
  • Capable of ordering equipment, ensuring its safe and proper use, and reporting any issues correctly.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services based on your assessments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Identify risks and take appropriate actions to minimize risks to yourself, service users, and colleagues.
  • Actively participate in training and assist in providing training within the service and to other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Participate in service development projects as necessary.

Essential

  • Bsc or equivalent in Physiotherapy and HCPC registered.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD/Reflective Practice.

Desirable

  • Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication for individuals with communication challenges.
  • Capable of making clinically sound judgments when dealing with various conditions.
  • Able to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
  • Competent in assessment and treatment, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and leading a class.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Efficient time and caseload management.

Desirable

  • Experience in a community setting (as a student or postgraduate).
