The team
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible Digital Experience team, responsible for a user first approach to the maintenance, development and enhancement of York St John University's website ).


Based in York, the full team is made up of: a Digital Experience Manager; a Digital Experience Coordinator; a Systems Developer; a Marketing and Digital Experience Assistant; and two Content Designers.


The role
Reporting into the Digital Experience Manager, this is one of our two Content Designer roles.

Our Content Designers work together to oversee content across the full website.

The post holder will work with the Digital Experience team, and closely with our other Content Designer, to ensure that content is accurate, engaging, well structured, and meets defined user needs.


As well as overall editorial responsibility for areas of the website that are key to Marketing activity, the role also carries a responsibility to engage with colleagues across the University to ensure the freshness and accuracy of content relating to their area of work.

The role comes with a responsibility to uphold the accessibility of website content. Web content should meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard.
