Patient Safety Partner

Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Full time

As an NHS Trust we have a responsibility to make sure that patients, families, and carers are full and equal participants in strengthening patient safety governance and management processes.

Patient Safety Partners (PSPs) are patients, carers and family members who are recruited to work in partnership with staff to influence and improve governance and leadership in the provision of health care.

The main role of the Patient Safety Partner is to ensure that the lived experience voice is heard and embedded within the organisation, with the core purpose of improving safety and quality.

As a key member of the Patient Safety Team, the Patient Safety Partner will play a crucial role in building and embedding a strong and proactive patient safety culture across the partnership though partnership working, provide critical challenge and support us to continuously improve patient safety.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.

This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
