Who we are
Based alongside the UK's leading manufacturer of CCTV camera mounting equipment, Swelco is a sub-contract supplier of components to OEM's and steel fabrication companies throughout Wales and the UK.
Most of our processes are in house; we laser-cut, press, fabricate, weld and also powder coat and we work in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Vacancy
A great opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our busy production team.
You will be working closely with your Line Manager to improve machine availability, component quality and maximise machine output.
Job role
- To read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select tooling for different material thicknesses
- Carry out inspection to ensure components meet necessary requirements
- Maintain Health and Safety standards
- Work to company quality standards
- Accurately record all job bookings
- Complete operations within allocated times
- Improve processes where possible
Knowledge - Skills - Experience
- Ideally experience on Bystronic machines
- Ability to work to close tolerances
- Understand and demonstrate the ability to select parameters for different material thicknesses
- Experience with working with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steels
- Previous overhead gantry training an advantage
- Computer literate
- Proficient in mathematics
- Ability to accurately record information and times etc.
- Experience working under ISO and quality management systems

Position
:
Full Time - 38 hours per week.
Hours of work typically
Monday to Thursday 07.55am to 16.30pm
Friday 07.55am to 14.30pm
Salary:
£13.95 per hour
