Press Brake Operator

A great opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our busy production team. This position is also to train on and then operate our laser cutting machines, so providing flexible working between the Press Brake and Laser Cutting areas.

You will be working closely with your Line Manager to improve machine availability, component quality and maximise machine output.

**Job role**:
**Press Brake**
- To read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select tooling for different material thicknesses
- Carry out inspection to ensure components meet necessary requirements
- Maintain Health and Safety standards
- Work to company quality standards
- Accurately record all job bookings
- Improve processes where possible

**Laser**
- Operate lasers on a 2 / 3 shift production cycle.
- Maintain Health & Safety standards within the laser production area.
- To record information accurately in accordance with ISO9001:2015.
- Check and maintain cut quality and tolerances.
- Work closely with the Production Foreman and Supervisor to improve machine availability, quality and maximise machine cutting times.
- Identify material types and grades including Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel
- Select correct programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment

**Knowledge - Skills - Experience**

Ideally experienced in press brake operation, preferably on Bystronic machines; however consideration will be given to applicants who have experience of setting up automated / CNC machines e.g tube forming. Previous experience on Laser Cutting Machine an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given; Ability to work to close tolerances; Understand and demonstrate the ability to select parameters for different material thicknesses; Experience with working with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steels; Current or previous counterbalance fork lift truck licence an advantage ; Previous overhead gantry training an advantage ; Computer literate ; Proficient in mathematics ; Ability to accurately record information and times etc; Experience working under ISO and quality management systems:
