Role overview_

The principle purpose of the role and its objective_
To support the efficient running of the finance team, ensuring we get the best value from the internal team and external consultants.
To take the lead on some critical projects, freeing up the CFO and other Finance SLT members to focus on other value-adding activity.

Key responsibilities_

Outline the key areas of responsibility and deliverables_
- Financial Control_
- Independently projectmanage improvement workstreams, working directly with the Subject Matter Experts.
- Operational Finance_
- Support improvements in our customer (service charge) accounting process in line with regulatory requirements
- Ensure we deliver excellence in our approach to budgeting, reporting and management of customer monies.
- Procurement_
- Support the evolution of the procurement function within RVG, delivering consistency, value for money and mitigating risk.
- Transformation & Improvement_
- Bring creativity and passion to the organisation and its services and possess a broad institutional perspective, while embracing change and innovation
- Lead the planning, prioritising and monitoring of key Finance improvement projects. working closely with the CFO
- Independently projectmanage improvement workstreams, working directly with the Subject Matter Expert.
- Take on and deliver whole improvement pieces to free up resource in the team and drive efficiencies over the longerterm
- Work closely with the project team, implementing the PMX property and finance system
- Key link into wider organisational transformation programme
- Continuous improvement of business systems/processes and other efficiencies.
- Leadership_
- Member of the Finance leadership team
- Support CFO and finance department in developing short and long term financial goals.

Attributes, Experience and Qualifications_

Skills, knowledge and experience required to carry out the role_
- Demonstratable experience within Finance, in roles that involve close partnering with business or functional teams to support the delivery of financial results, cost efficiency or change projects
- Previous experience of dealing with senior stakeholders
- Expert knowledge of how a Finance function within a property and / or operating business works
- Specialist knowledge of Finance processes and controls
- Great communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced skills with respect to defining performance management reporting and the ability to mould output to the right level
- Strong collaboration skills
- Must both plan and work in the detail effectively
- Customerfocused approach
- Professional Finance Qualification is essential (ACCA, CIMA).
