Fabric Controller

The Fabric Controller will be responsible for overseeing key fabric processes, ensuring quality control. The role requires a strong background in têxtiles, manufacturing process and quality assurance.

The Fabric Controller will collaborate closely with various internal departments and externally with our satellite units and members of our Technical Designers (TD's), to optimize production efficiency, maintain high quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Rerolling of fabric short roll ends returned from production back to stock.
  • Inspection of all faulty fabric rolls.
  • Point of contact for liaising with fabric supplier i.e. raising queries, arrange collection of rolls.
  • Batch control of fabrics inc. short roll ends & colourway control (Spectrometer).
  • Inspection of 10% of all fabrics to ensure ongoing assurance, liaising with the fabric procurement team etc.
  • Prestige fabric stock control.
  • Liaise with TD Network & satellite units and arrange for fabric returns to Head office and receipt back into stock inc. cancellations. 8. Monitoring TD Usage and reporting on findings.

Person Specification

  • Good communicator.
  • Able to interpret information accurately.
  • Experience in quality inspections (Full training will be provided).
  • Good understanding of Production processes and warehouse operations.
  • IT skills, proficient with Microsoft office packages.
  • Good eye for detail.
