About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to become part of our dynamic primary school community in Newham. This position plays a crucial role in aiding children with varied learning needs to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning Support: Provide personalized assistance to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, such as ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
  • Inclusive Learning: Utilize your expertise to establish a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to execute tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Afternoon Flexibility: Deliver essential aid across Key Stages 1 and 2, adjusting to the requirements of different age groups.

Early Years Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar capacity is advantageous.

  • Expertise: Solid comprehension of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection protocols.
  • Versatility: Capability to assist with nappy changing and address individual special educational requirements.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
