Electricity North West distributes electricity through 57,000 kilometres of overhead lines and underground cables, enough to go around the world one and a half times. We actively manage the power network in real time, responding to issues with remote technology and teams on the ground. We provide an essential service to 5 million people in 2.4 million properties covering 10% of the electricity demand of Great Britain from Cheshire to Cumbria.

As a Operational Engineering Apprentice you will learn and develop skills and an understanding to enable you to operate safely and effectively on our network. This will include planning managing and undertaking a range of activities and operations to meet design, safety, time and commercial requirements.

About You:

You will need the following skills and qualifications to start your career journey with us;

A minimum of Maths and English Language at GCSE (or equivalent) levels 4 - 9 or A* - C;

As well as one of the following -

Two A Levels A* - C (one must be in a Maths or Physics), orA BTEC National Certificate Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (merit or distinction) An ONC in Electrical Engineering (merit or distinction)
