As a Barclays Event Coordinator, you will have an exciting chance to partner with the business to develop, manage and execute a diverse range of face to face and virtual events with aim to drive brand reputation, client acquisition, engagement and support overall business growth.

This role is based across Private Bank and Wealth Management business where you will be delivering a diverse portfolio of brand partnerships and events from conferences, investment outlooks, small high-end dinners and bespoke VVIP lifestyle offerings.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with the design and execution of assigned business area annual event plans (outside of Group Events scope) to support business objectives and growth forecast
  • Managing delegates, researching speakers, collecting of presentations, delivering speaker briefings, and developing event collateral including detailed on-site schedules
  • Preparing post-event evaluations/surveys as required and post-event debrief meetings, and providing recommendations/ insights for continuous improvement
  • Anticipating staffing requirements on-site to secure additional resources in advance
  • Managing ad-hoc projects on behalf of the team (e.g. Delegate Management System, Data Privacy, Reporting, Preferred Supplier List)
  • Leading event suppliers and brand partner relationships, contracts, and budgets in line with organisation wide standards and policies
  • Following all internal processes including our health and safety risk assessment procedures for all events and ensuring compliance
  • Conducting thorough market research and staying up to date with event landscape as well as emerging event technologies to identify and proactively propose innovative event concepts

What we're looking for:

  • Relevant experience in investment management, asset management, private banking, or wealth management with ability to navigate complexities in a matrix regulated industry
  • Proven track record of supporting/coordinating planning and organising successful events including conferences/smaller scale VIP events/roadshows/virtual events/webinars
  • An extraordinary attention to detail with ability to handle multiple/complex concurrent events as well as excellent problem solving skills and ability to anticipate challenges
  • Aptitude and ability to navigate using different technology systems (OneEvent; iPlanner: AIP; SAP; eTouches; iConference) as well as proficiency in Microsoft package (PPT, Word, Excel)

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Marketing or Business Management degree
  • Experience managing events outside of the UK
